esp. Deepbass encontró su pasión por la música techo a través de la escena de clubbing underground de Glasgow en lugares como el Sub Club, Club 69 y The Arches.
Ha sido fuertemente influenciado por artistas como Speedy J, Jeff Mills y Robert Hood.
A sus 18 años empezó a realizar y promover fiestas ilegales y programar posteriormente en clubs dispersos por el territorio Escocés. Enseguida experimentó con la producción musical y en crear sus propios temas tras la tentativa de expresar lo que él piensa que el techno significa, sus inicios influenciaron su estilo drásticamente, y empezó a fluir un techo sumamente profundo, oscuro y atmosférico.
En 2009 fundó su propio sello llamado Dark Beat con su compañero de producción Roman Toletski buscando indagar en la libertad experimental para explorar en lo más profundo de los reinos del techo. El sello cuenta con el apoyo de algunos de los grandes nombres de la escena con tracks de Mark Broom y Edit Select.
En 2010 Deepbass acaba de dar a luz otro proyecto en forma de sello discográfico, esta vez propio, llamado Informa Records, como plataforma que permite expresar a él y otros artistas su concepción del techo y la música electrónica. El sello, de nuevo con soporte de grandes nombres, cuenta ya con gran aceptación tras su primera referencia que también incluye una remezcla de Mark Broom.

He has been heavily influenced by artists such as Speedy J, Jeff Mills and Robert Hood. At the age of 18 he started running his own illegal parties and club nights all over Scotland, soon after he tried his hand at production, trying to put his own take on what he thinks techno stands for, his underground parties influenced his style drastically and he started making extremely deep, dark, atmospherical techno.
In 2009 he started his own label called Dark Beat with production partner Roman Toletski as they knew it would give them the experimental freedom they needed to explore deeper into the realms of techno. There releases have received support from some of the the biggest names in the scene and have had tracks from Mark Broom and Edit Select on the label.
Deepbass is now in the process of starting a new label called Informa Records which will be a platform that will allow himself and other artists the express themselves through the form of techno and electronica.
